THE BARBER'S SHOP
FADE IN:
INT. BARBING SALON - DAY
The room is filled with the sound of a football match on TV. Linus, a young man in his 20s, walks in and notices the game.
LINUS
(curious)
Are they playing football?
CHUKS
(distracted)
Yes.
LINUS
(asking again)
Who's playing?
MARO
(slightly irritated)
Chelsea and Arsenal.
LINUS
(curious)
Who's wearing blue?
ONOS
(matter-of-factly)
Chelsea.
LINUS
(asking again)
Who's wearing red?
The barber and others turn to him, irritated.
BARBER
(exasperated)
Your village members, for goodness' sake! What kind of question is that?
LINUS
(puzzled)
I was only asking.
OLA
(sarcastically)
If Chelsea is the first team, and we said it's Chelsea versus Arsenal, which team would be the second?
Before Linus can respond...
FREGENE
(sarcastically)
Can't you use your head? Figure it out yourself! Instead of asking.
LINUS
(apologetic)
I'm sorry, it's just the pressure.
BARBER
(sympathetic)
We're sorry too. Just try to help yourself sometimes. The team names are written on the top left or right corner of the screen. We're all facing pressure, you know.
The camera zooms out as the group returns to watching the game, Linus still looking puzzled but trying to fit in.
LINUS
(with a smile)
But seriously, who is Chelsea playing against?
Everyone turns to him, and they all burst into laughter.
FADE OUT.
Moral lesson
"Sometimes, it's essential to think critically and figure things out for ourselves instead of relying on others for all the answers. Don't be lazy; take ownership of your learning and decisions. Take responsibility when it matters, and don't be afraid to ask questions when you need clarification. By doing so, you'll grow and learn, and that's a vital part of personal growth and development."
