LABARINA - LOOKING ONCE AND THEN TWICE
1. Initial awareness: It's natural to acknowledge and notice something negative initially. It's like taking a glance or being briefly exposed to it.
2. Intentional engagement: However, actively choosing to look again (looking twice) implies a conscious decision to engage with the negative content, which can lead to dwelling, rumination, or even obsession.
This perspective suggests that while it's hard to control initial exposure, we have agency over whether we continue to engage with something that might be harmful or unproductive.
In essence, "looking once" might be seen as an unintentional or passive exposure, whereas "looking twice" implies an active choice to revisit or indulge in the negative content.
