ARRESTS MADE

The Police after being informed of Ovie’s death, started making arrests, picking up improperly dressed young men on the streets and also raiding every drinking and smoking joints. Informed about the whereabouts of a group of boys who were said to be accomplices of the crime, the police invaded their privacy and arrested two out of the three boys: Tosan and Ebele, missing out on the remaining one, Tega. These were the eye witnesses talked about earlier.

REUNION CUT SHORT

Mama Tosan’s reunion with her old school mate, Barrister Akomire was cut short when news about her son’s arrest reached her. She lost control, got confused, running to and fro, crying for help.

 "Calm down", pleaded Barrister Akomire but the more she pleaded, the more she raised her voice and began to create a scene. Her voice attracted both passersby and neighbors and within minutes, the place was crowded. Questions started flying in and out. As some persons questioned her sanity, Barrister Akomire hissed. And out of impatience, yelled at Mama Tosan. Her yell forced a moment of silence, and on top of her voice, she ordered Mama Tosan to go and take a shower, change from the wrapper she had tied around her waist, and join her in the car. Like an obedient child, she obeyed completely, and within ten minutes, she was out. She hopped into Barrister Akomire’s car and off they went to the Police station, where Tosan was detained.
