OGA ELEWON
Chief Agbada looked unconcerned and scarcely worried regardless of being fully aware of the fate of his only child, Tomiwa. His wife on the other hand could not hold up her emotions, she was overwhelmed. Prior to this time, she was known to be a very proud woman, but not in this case as she totally lost her composure. She let her guard down and looked as vulnerable as a calf standing face-to-face with a lion. You are a wicked man, she cried, holding her husband's trousers firmly. Thank God for the polythene fabric, she would have torn it in pieces. Notwithstanding, before she was taken away, she left an obscure mark on his white trousers which one could only see with a closer look.
She later became calm but wasn't allowed into the courtroom by the security due to the display she put on some minutes before. She stood meters away outside and was warned not to cross the boundary set.
The case was straightforward. It was child abuse which resulted in death. With all evidence 🧾 leveled against him being valid, Tomiwa pleaded guilty, seeking pardon, but was denounced, and sentenced to life imprisonment. His father, Chief Agbada bowed his head in pity, shame, and agony as he watched his son being escorted outside the courtroom by the security men into the van to the prison. His mother on the other hand being consoled by her friends, held herself together, as she watched from afar her only child taken away.
