DECISIONS
LADY: (tearfully) You're the fourth person to tell me that.
DOCTOR: The truth is established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.
LADY: (desperate) I can't have the child. I'm still in school, and it will ruin my education. I can't afford to stop school. And I can't have a child with him - he's a married man with multiple wives, and he's my father's friend.
DOCTOR: (firmly but compassionately) Did you think about the consequences before getting involved with him?
LADY: (sheepishly) I needed the money, and I prepared for the worst, but not this.
DOCTOR: (gently) And what was that?
LADY: (ashamed) If I conceived, I would abort the pregnancy.
DOCTOR: (sternly) You're considering murder.
LADY: (defensively) I am not a murderer!
DOCTOR: (calmly) We don't perform abortions here. You need counsel, not a quick fix.
LADY: (sobbing) I'm not a murderer, and I guess I'm at the wrong place.
DOCTOR: (encouragingly) You're not. You need guidance. Consider the baby's life, and yours too. Your decision will save two lives. Make the right choice this time.
LADY: (sobbing) Okay...I'll keep the baby.
