POLICE MAN ARRESTED

Barrister Akomire took a deep breath, speechless for a minute, and asked about his boss’ whereabout which Tosan declared unknown. Minutes after, the DPO arrived and sent for Tosan and Ebele who were accompanied by his mum and

Barrister Akomire. After a little discussion, the

DPO ordered Tosan and Ebele to go with the Policemen to their boss’ house while Mama Tosan and Barrister Akomire stayed back. Stressed and hungry, Barrister Akomire and Mama Tosan decided to go get some food at the canteen outside. On their way, they overheard a Policeman placing a call through to an unknown person alerting him of the police’s mission to his house. He ended the call the moment he heard footsteps behind, unknown to him that his secret was no more hidden.

Barrister Akomire suspected he called Tosan’s boss and immediately she took a u-turn followed by Mama Tosan back to the DPO’s office to lay a report. The police officer was summoned by the DPO and bluntly he denied all allegations laid against him. Within five minutes, the patrol team returned with Tosan and Ebele and as predicted they didn’t meet the boss. The police officer’s phone (formerly in the DPO’s custody) was handed to Tosan and within seconds he identified his boss’ phone number rendering the Police officer who was taken into custody speechless. The Police officer pleaded for a chance for restitution, offering to bring Tosan’s boss in. He was offered the opportunity and there in the DPO’s office, as silence was maintained, he placed a call through to Tosan’s boss, earned an appointment, drove alone followed far behind by a police van. Tosan’s boss initially opted to cancel the meeting as he felt something wasn’t right but his curiosity about the current situation overshadowed his instincts and he went ahead with the meeting that led him into the police nest.
