LABARINA - PRIORITIES

LABARINA

"When my desk and mind are overflowing, and time seems too short, I'm reminded that not everything I want to do needs to be done today. As a Christian, it's essential to prioritize what God wants me to do, not just what I want to do. This is the difference between morality and holiness - living a life that honors God's righteousness.

I'm reminded of the analogy that you can't bathe a pig and expect it to stay clean. Our nature dictates our actions. But as Christians, we strive to live a life that reflects God's guidance and wisdom.

In the chaos, I find solace in seeking God's direction and prioritizing what truly matters.

LABARINA - MISSING IN ACTION

"LABARINA (Missing in Action) - I've been absent for a while, and many thoughts that came to mind have vanished like vapor. The best way to overcome procrastination is to act immediately when inspiration strikes. I apologize for depriving you all of valuable information and insights. I pray for remembrance and inspiration.

LABARINA - SLEEP

"LABARINA

I'm not a fan of excessive sleeping; it makes me feel sluggish. While sleep is essential, I believe it's important to strike a balance. I'm writing this after an unplanned nap that left me feeling unaccomplished. Today is precious, and I've already spent over 6 hours sleeping! How many hours do I have left? It matters because I want to make the most of my time. As they say, "It's not how far, but how well." It's about making the most of our Chronos (time) to embrace Kairos (opportune moments). Let's make the rest of today count!

LABARINA - YOU ARE FIRED

"LABARINA

What would you do if your services were no longer needed in a place where you were once a star? How would you feel? How would you take it? You might say, "After all I've done for them, they treat me like this? Ingrates!"

But here's the truth: no position is permanent. It's not a forever thing. If you think you'll occupy that spot forever, you'll only set yourself up for hurt. Don't get too comfortable and hinder your own progress. Remember, your purpose is bigger than any title or position. They can take those away, but they can't take your purpose.

Discover your purpose and fulfill it. Your work will speak for you, good or bad. Don't let bitterness hold you back from moving forward.

An open letter to all those holding many positions like I am: it's not permanent, it's temporary. Get used to being "Fired" ๐Ÿ˜‚ (Just kidding, kind of).
Your works will surely speak for you either bad or good.

LABARINA - ✍️

LABARINA

I feel like writing a lot. I feel free. Life is full of stories. Like Daddy G.O said, we are all in a movie and are actors. So, I won't fail to write about you if I have the chance. I'm seeing things from a different angle now. Before, I wanted to write but had nothing to write about, but this revelation has already kick-started me. The first person to view this message, I promise I will write about you. I hope I know you a little well, but either way, I will write something about you.

LABARINA - GO FOR IT

LABARINA

I'm feeling a little anxious about something and I wanted to share it with you. I have a home lesson to teach, and I'm really hesitant about working on the questions I promised my student we would cover today. I value my integrity very highly, and I don't want to let her down. I already feel like I've failed because I told her I would come early, which I doubt I can do. I even caught myself hoping for rain so that I wouldn't have to go, or at least have an excuse to delay and be a little lazy, then solve the questions later. But I know that what we fear is also fearing us, and anything we're hesitant to do might hold great value. So, I'm going to push myself to tackle it head-on.

LABARINA - LIKE FATHER LIKE SON

LABARINA

I overheard a conversation yesterday between some people. A father was advised to make his son his closest friend so he could guide him and lead him in the right direction because he claimed he wants the best for his child. But the question is, is the father working in the right way? The father made a statement that he knows he is not perfect, but that doesn't give his son a license to go astray and over his dead body will he allow that. My position on this is, as he was also advised, children observe your actions better than they listen to your words. If you want others to do right, be a good example yourself. "Be ye followers of me as I am of Christ," Paul told the Corinthians.

LABARINA - POWER

LABARINA

Today, while walking, I pondered on various questions, contemplating what I truly desire in life. Although I recognize the importance of money, as it is deemed necessary according to the Bible(money answered all things), I resonate with Dr. Myles Munroe's assertion that what we all seek is in fact power. This power represents the ability to govern every aspect of our existence. We yearn for autonomy in determining what we consume, our actions, our destinations, and our dwellings. We aspire for our desires to be fulfilled without relying on others. My true longing is for power… and power for the greater good.

LABARINA - THE MEASURE OF GREATNESS

LABARINA

There's a saying that if you are the wealthiest person in your family, then you are truly poor and miserable. Some people see being the richest in the family as a reason to boast and brag, but I'd like to inform you that you are living under an illusion. You are deceived. Great individuals are recognized by their contributions to humanity and society, starting with their own families. I'm not sure how you measure greatness, but I urge you to consider the scale I've just presented. The greatest scale is God's Will. Anything below or above that is an error, whether it's perceived as good or bad.

LABARINA - UNDERSTANDING

"LABARINA - Hosea 4:6 KJV

'[6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.'

This scripture is a key message. Yesterday, I listened to a sermon for the second time, and the preacher shared a story about a new believer struggling with lust. The believer remembered Mark 9:47 KJV, which says:

'[47] And if thine eye offends thee, pluck it out: it is better to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.'

Unfortunately, the believer took this verse literally and cut off their private part, leading to severe bleeding and hospitalization. When asked by a journalist why he did it, they shared the whole story. This serves as a reminder to ask questions, do research, and not believe everything we hear.

LABARINA - DISCOVERY

LABARINA
If certain things don't happen your eyes won't be open to certain new things or development. Change is a constant and shouldn't be fought against be it positive or negative. We are firstly to accept change and make it work for us. Instead of being a victim be a victor by not letting it get to you. I discovered something new recently because of an information I saw on someone's status and a terrible incident that happened.

LABARINA - GROWTH

``` LABARINA
I had a plan for Tuesday but I can't say it was successful. Although I did some majors, but with a proper sel-assessment, I ain’t satisfied with my input and output. And because I didn't do better, I ended up where I am right now.
Moral lesson: “Aim above the sky, so that in case you fail, you won't be anywhere below the sky”.
I want to reach my goals, but most importantly, I want to grow.
LABARINA - BRUSH TWICE DAILY
``` LABARINA

Taking my bath twice daily has already become a habit. Circumstances actually aided that; the hot weather before now forced me to adjust to that, and now it has become a part of me. But brushing my teeth twice daily is an issue. It's something I want to do but I find myself unable to, and it's a challenge to my health goals. No b sey toothpaste no dey oo ๐Ÿ™ƒ

OGA ELEWON

Chief Agbada looked unconcerned and scarcely worried regardless of being fully aware of the fate of his only child, Tomiwa. His wife on the other hand could not hold up her emotions, she was overwhelmed. Prior to this time, she was known to be a very proud woman, but not in this case as she totally lost her composure. She let her guard down and looked as vulnerable as a calf standing face-to-face with a lion. You are a wicked man, she cried, holding her husband's trousers firmly. Thank God for the polythene fabric, she would have torn it in pieces. Notwithstanding, before she was taken away, she left an obscure mark on his white trousers which one could only see with a closer look.

She later became calm but wasn't allowed into the courtroom by the security due to the display she put on some minutes before. She stood meters away outside and was warned not to cross the boundary set.

The case was straightforward. It was child abuse which resulted in death. With all evidence ๐Ÿงพ leveled against him being valid, Tomiwa pleaded guilty, seeking pardon, but was denounced, and sentenced to life imprisonment. His father, Chief Agbada bowed his head in pity, shame, and agony as he watched his son being escorted outside the courtroom by the security men into the van to the prison. His mother on the other hand being consoled by her friends, held herself together, as she watched from afar her only child taken away.

LABARINA - THIS IS REAL LIFE

``` LABARINA
Now life is real to me, staring me in the face like, “Are you really ready for me?” I was like, “I never knew all these about you until now”. I’m really startled. Where have I been all this while, how did I get here? How will I get past this juncture without being stained with blood? Is there an escape route? Is there a new plan for us amateurs who think we are professionals? Where do we go from here? Insist on us Lord. Don't leave us like this ๐Ÿ™‡‍♀️
LABARINA
``` LABARINA

"Insist on me" has been on my mind since yesterday, and I believe a lot of us need to emphasize this prayer line because if God leaves you, I wonder what would become of you. Nothing, I believe. I know you are strong, famous, good at what you do, very disciplined, etc But we are what we are by The Grace Of God. Even Apostle Orokpo said, "Everyone standing is helped by God".
I also know that you might be in sin, in trouble... Be repentant and ask God not to leave you like this.
