LABARINA - LIAR
LABARINA
"The empowerment program was intended for widows and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
However, I noticed that many individuals who came and identified as widows actually had husbands or had never been married.
My mom reminded me of a story about a married woman who accepted food meant for widows and later became a widow herself.
This serves as a cautionary tale.
We often blame Adam and Eve for their disobedience (Genesis 3:6) and Esau for his recklessness (Hebrews 12:16-17), and Samson for his weaknesses (Judges 16:1-20). Yet, we fail to examine ourselves and remove the 'mole' from our own eyes, as Jesus said in Matthew 7:3-5:
'Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
How can you say to your brother, "Let me take the speck out of your eye," when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.'"
