THE REAL GRAVE
INT. PRIDE'S FATHER'S HOUSE - EVENING
Wisdom pays Pride a visit while Pride is relaxing in the jacuzzi in his bedroom.
WISDOM:
What did you learn today?
PRIDE:
(smirking) Nothing. I've learned too much already.
WISDOM:
The day you stop learning is the day you start dying.
PRIDE:
(laughing) Well, as you can see, I'm comfortable. I have everything I want. So, I don't need anything else.
WISDOM:
( sternly) Pride, there's a saying: "The grave of a man is not six feet, but the place of his comfort." Anywhere you feel too comfortable has started becoming your grave. Complacency breeds stagnation, and stagnation is a form of death.
PRIDE:
(rolls his eyes) That's just an old saying. I'm living my best life.
WISDOM:
(sadly) I hope you realize the truth before it's too late, Pride. Comfort can be a prison, and I fear you're locking yourself in.
The moral lesson is: Complacency and excessive comfort can lead to stagnation and hinder personal growth, while continuous learning and self-awareness are essential for a fulfilling life.
