SONIA: (looking upset) I'm not happy.

DEBORAH: (concerned) Why? What's the matter?

SONIA: (sighs) I overheard some people talking ill about me.

DEBORAH: (empathetically) I'm so sorry to hear that. Let me share something with you. (opens Bible) Ecclesiastes 7:21-25 says:

"Do not pay attention to every word people say, or you may hear your servant cursing you, for you know in your heart that many times you yourself have cursed others."

(DEBORAH looks up at SONIA with a gentle smile)

DEBORAH: (encouragingly) Remember, Sonia, we've all been guilty of speaking ill about others at some point. Let's focus on being kind and compassionate, and try not to dwell on hurtful words.

SONIA: (nods, looking slightly better)
