FATHER'S INHERITANCE

FATHER'S INHERITANCE

INT. MR. ROY'S OFFICE - EVENING

MR Esau, a middle aged man, sits behind his desk, his expression stern. Roy, a younger man, stands before him, pleading.

ROY
Roy, sir, please... you are my one and only hope. Please help me.

MR ESAU
Let God be your one and only hope, not me or any man. Personally, if I had the means to help you, I wouldn't, due to what your father did to me.

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE - EVENING

Roy discusses with his mother, his eyes filled with tears and agony.

MOTHER
I warned your father when he was living a careless life. I warned him, but he wouldn't listen. Now, see where he has left us... a bad name. A name that shuts doors.

ROY
(bitterly)
And what can I do to change that?

MOTHER
Son, you have a lot to do. A lot of work to rewrite the wrong your father has made. And remember this Bible scripture: "A good name is better than riches, because riches have wings and fly away." (Proverbs 22:1)

Roy nods, determination etched on his face.

MOTHER (CONT'D)
Let this guide you on your journey to redeem our family's name.

The scene fades to black as Roy and his mother share a resolute look.
