LABARINA - THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
LABARINA - THE PAST IN THE PRESENT AND FUTURE
"The past can be a heavy burden to carry, and while the phrase 'forget the past' is often echoed, I wonder if complete forgetting is truly possible. Some events leave an indelible mark on our lives, making it challenging to erase them from our memories. The debate rages on: is forgiveness and forgetting feasible, or is it just a myth?
In my opinion, the past has a way of resurfacing, often when we least expect it. Like a ghost from our former lives, it can reappear in our future, seeking to distract, haunt, or instill fear. For some, the past is a constant companion, a reminder of painful experiences we'd rather forget.
Consider this scenario: a cleric, once a victim of forced abortion, confronts the perpetrator years later. The past and present collide, stirring up a maelstrom of emotions. Can we truly forget, or do we learn to live with the scars, using them as reminders of our strength and resilience?
Perhaps the key lies not in forgetting but in confronting and embracing our past, allowing it to shape us into who we are today. By acknowledging the scars, we can transform them into testaments of our capacity to overcome and grow."
