LABARINA - THE BUS DRIVER
LABARINA - THE BUS DRIVER
Yesterday, I had a confrontation with a bus driver over payment. Initially, the bus driver told me to pay 200 naira, but I opted to get down from the bus instead. He then asked if I was going to pay 50 naira, and I replied that I would pay 150 naira. However, I realized he was being sarcastic, so I told him to 'get out' (I assume you meant 'get lost' or 'leave me alone').
I was annoyed and felt insulted. I was so angry that I considered getting into a physical fight with him, but thankfully, he didn't stop the car, and I was able to calm down.
As I reflected on the incident, I realized that pride played a significant role in my reaction. I was proud and felt like I was being taken advantage of, which led to my anger and desire to fight. But as I thought about it more, I realized that I can't handle every situation on my own. I need God's help to navigate challenging situations like that.
I'm acknowledging that even as I grow and mature, I still need God's help to stay humble and calm in difficult situations. I'm seeking to rely on God's grace to help me in times of trouble, and I'm grateful that He is always available to guide me.
It's not always easy to admit when we can't handle something, but it's a sign of strength to acknowledge our weaknesses and seek help. I'm learning that growing in faith and personal growth is a lifelong journey, and it's okay to stumble sometimes. The important thing is that I'm willing to learn from my experiences and seek guidance from God. Yesterday's incident was a reminder that I need to keep seeking Him and relying on His grace to help me navigate life's challenges.
