"As the year ends, leaders may expect gifts or appreciation from followers. However, leaders should reflect on their performance before expecting recognition.
Followers should also appreciate leaders who serve them faithfully (Galatians 6:6). The Bible encourages sharing good things with those who instruct and lead us.
Leaders, remember that recognition follows serving with integrity. As Genesis 4:7 says, 'If you do well, will you not be accepted?' Serve with excellence, and appreciation will follow naturally.
Let's prioritize genuine, voluntary appreciation and recognition, rather than obligatory or manipulative gestures."
