LABARINA : LIFE IN THE GHETTO

LABARINA : LIFE IN THE GHETTO

"Waking up to a harsh reality, I'm met with a scene of desperation. The streets are filled with people resigned to a life of smoking and drinking, devoid of purpose or direction. The atmosphere is alarming, with young girls and boys feeling frustrated and lost, unsure of what to do with their lives.

The situation is dire, and I'm at a loss for words. Amidst this chaos, I overhear a disturbing conversation about someone planning to sabotage the community's electricity supply to fund their addiction to hard drugs like crack.

But even in the midst of such darkness, I hold onto the hope that light will prevail. As the saying goes, 'light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it' (John 1:5). May this truth bring comfort and inspiration to those struggling, and may we work together to bring light and redemption to our community."
