"As I took a walk, I encountered a young man I used to know. His father was quite strict with him when he was younger. However, I noticed a significant change in him yesterday when I heard his voice. It struck me that this young boy has grown into a man.
What I'm trying to say is that the way we raise our children will eventually manifest as they grow older. The discipline, training, and counsel we provide will either positively or negatively impact their lives. Time will reveal the effectiveness of our parenting.
As children grow into adults, they'll gradually break free from our control, and the only things that will remain are the words, values, and principles we've instilled in them. If we've provided good guidance, we can be confident that they'll make wise decisions.
I firmly believe that one of the best investments we can make in our children's lives is educating them in morals, values, and life skills, beyond just formal education. We should guide them in discovering their destiny and nurture them spiritually.
As the Bible says, "Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). Time will indeed reveal the fruit of our labor, and we will know if our efforts have been fruitful or not.
Let's make a conscious effort to instill wisdom, values, and principles in our children, because as they grow older and we grow older, our physical strength and control will wane, but the legacy we leave in their hearts will endure."
