LABARINA - VISION AND TARRYING

LABARINA - VISION AND TARRYING

"Today, while observing a prayer meeting, I gained insight into why some people spend more time in prayer than others. I recalled the illustration of two horses that went to a stream to drink water. One horse stayed for a longer period, while the other left after just ten minutes.

The reason for the difference in their stay was that the first horse was thirstier. Similarly, in prayer, the duration of one's stay depends on their level of spiritual thirst and hunger for God.

Vision plays a crucial role in sustaining us during our spiritual journey. When we have a clear vision of our purpose and destination, we're more likely to persevere and spend more time in prayer. As the Bible says, an angel came to Elijah and said, 'Wake and eat, Elijah, for the journey ahead of you is far' (1 Kings 19:7).

Just as Elijah needed nourishment for his journey, we need spiritual nourishment to sustain us on our own journeys. Vision helps us see beyond our current circumstances and gives us the strength to persevere, even when the journey ahead seems long and challenging."
