MEDICINE AFTER DEATH

Title: Medicine After Death

FADE IN:

INT. WORKPLACE - DAY

We see two coworkers, AMAKA (female) and KUNLE (male), working together. Amaka notices a hardworking lady, NDIDI, sweeping and doing chores.

AMAKA:
Wow, that lady is so hardworking.

KUNLE:
Yes, she is. But it's like medicine after death.

AMAKA:
What do you mean?

KUNLE:
Ndidi had the opportunity to go to school, but she squandered it. Now, she's working twice as hard just to make ends meet.

AMAKA:
That's sad.

KUNLE:
Let's take a walk.

CUT TO:

EXT. CONSTRUCTION SITE - DAY

Kunle points to a man, DAYO, carrying blocks.

KUNLE:
See that guy? Same story. He had the chance to go to school, but he chose to follow gangs instead. Now, life has humbled him.

AMAKA:
It's like he's paying for his past mistakes.

KUNLE:
Exactly.

CUT TO:

EXT. MARKET - DAY

Kunle points to a lady, ABIKE, hawking goods with a child on her back.

KUNLE:
And that lady? Same thing. She had opportunities, but made wrong choices. Now, she's working harder than she needs to.

AMAKA:
It's like they're all trying to make up for lost time.

KUNLE:
Medicine after death. But as long as they're still alive, there's still hope.

FADE OUT.
