A Morning Reflection on Honesty
This morning, I witnessed a scene that made me ponder why some people struggle with honesty. Honesty requires patience and responsibility. A lady who had just resumed duty was squatting outside the office because the person in charge of the keys wasn't around. This not only reflected poorly on the company but also discouraged others.
The lady might think, 'Since it's this way, I won't come early tomorrow, so I won't waste my time.' However, she may miss an opportunity that might come tomorrow - we never can tell. Perhaps the person with the key decided to come late today because they've been coming early on other days, only to be met with the lackadaisical attitude of others.
My point is that we should continue doing the right thing, even when it's challenging, and not give up. We shouldn't do things solely because of potential opportunities, but because it is right. By doing so, we maintain our integrity, avoid projecting a bad image, and inspire others to do the same.
